    Just Like potatoes and other vegetables, Eggplant is one of the nightshade vegetables. They came from Asia and Pakistan, and they still grow wild there. In the seventh and eighth centuries, our Muslim countries brought eggplants to other countries as well. According to historians, the name “eggplant” was created by the British while they were occupying Hindustan. There are other names for this vegetable as well, such as aubergine and brinjal.
